Following the promotion of our current Head of Faculty to Assistant Principal, we are seeking to appoint a passionate and positive leader to join the Wider Leadership Team and play a key role driving the English, Media and Drama Faculty forward.

Leading by example and teaching across the age range from Year 7 to Year 13, delivering GCSE and A Level English Language and Literature, the successful candidate will also contribute to the Academy’s whole school strategy and be responsible for promoting standards of learning and achievement for all students.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have a strong academic background;
  • Be an excellent classroom practitioner with a track record of excellent outcomes;
  • Combine subject matter expertise with a passionate and innovative approach to teaching English;
  • Have the commitment, experience and skills to lead a successful department and to be committed to securing their continued development;
  • Support the Academy practices that drive progress;
  • Promote our Academy values of producing aspirational, happy and successful students.

Attleborough Academy is a popular, 11 to 18 Academy which is continually developing to meet the demands of providing the highest quality education for all students. Later this academic year, Attleborough Academy will be joining the Sapientia Education Trust (SET) which is an exciting and important development for the Academy. The SET are committed to bringing like-minded schools together to work in partnership to develop a world class education. This merger promises to bring multiple benefits in terms of teaching and learning and new opportunities for students and staff.

Interviews will take place during the week commencing Monday 11 May 2020 and shortlisted applicants will be contacted by email with details of the arrangements. The post will be offered subject to enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) clearance.
